Welcome to the Geuder/Geuter/Geuther family circle! Our genealogy group is the first concerted effort to research the history and ancestry of our uncommon family name. We are a non-profit organisation, founded in 2005 in Germany, with members in Germany, Netherlands, England, New Zealand, and the United States. We invite all Geuder-Geuter-Geuther descendants to explore with us our roots and history.

OUR FIRST REUNION IN AMERICA

September 8.-9. 2012 in Frankfort/Mokena, Illinois

On September 8th we will meet from 1pm to 5pm at the Mokena Immanuel ev.Lutheran Church, www.immanuelmokena.org, followed by a catered dinner. The next morning, we will visit the Frankfort neighborhood for a historical tour of our first Geuther settlers and end with a lunch in Frankfort.

All Geuder, Geuter and Geuther families and relatives are invited to participate. Please confirm with me (gabygeuther@yahoo.com) if you are coming, so we can order dinner accordingly. You can come for 1 day or for both; there is no cost other than the dinner. Transportation and hotel stay are on your own. Let me know if you need any help with finding a hotel for the one night. The Hampton Inn in Tinley Park, Hilten Garden Inn inTinley Park are good, or the less expensive Super 8 in Mokena.

Our MISSION

• To collect all Geuder/Geuter/Geuther family trees
  to explore the origin of a common ancestor
  to further the communication and the exchange between members
  to enhance the understanding of our larger family name group that may also include Geider, Guider, Guither, Gooder and Goyder in the United States and Germany
to find the "missing links" between all branches

• Our "Family Echo" is looking always looking for story contributions. The 2011 edition was just published. Articles for the 2012 edition should be submitted by August 2012 for the printing and distribution of the booklet by the end of 2012.
